We are Burmese professionals and our friends who care about the future of “the Golden Land” and what is happening now.

Some people prefer to call it Burma while others like to say Myanmar. For us it will always be the Golden Land where you can see pagodas in almost every village and paddy fields stretch for miles and miles into the horizon.

We have set up this public forum first of all to give our people freedom of speech. So we urge you to use your time on this forum wisely for your enjoyment as well as for the benefit of others.

Secondly we want our people to get connected with each other to share ideas, opinions, experiences, hopes and dreams.

As we move ahead in the building of a modern nation, it is important for our people to learn the basic requirement of modern representative government. This is to present one’s views and opinions in a logical, clear and courteous manner. Even if you do not see eye-to-eye with the other person, you can at least agree to disagree.
